Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on your nationality, as not all nationalities require a visa. Before travelling, check the South Africa Home Office website to see what the requirements are for your nationality.

As a UK citizen, I always check the UK Government website before travelling to any country. Please check your own government website for additional information pertaining to your nationality.

To make the most of the trip, you must find a flight that arrives at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMI) on the 22nd June 2025 before noon. Early arrivals can also be accommodated at an extra cost. You will need to find a departing flight that leaves at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMI) after 2 pm on 30th June 2025.

We are more than happy to offer guidance and support in finding the best flights for you, but please note that, ultimately, we would not be responsible for your flight connection.

I always recommend reading your government’s advice before travelling to a country, as these highlight potential hazards their citizens might experience. For example, British citizens should read the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office’s advice.

There is no denying that South Africa does have a high crime rate, especially in the major cities. However, safety is our prime concern, and this itinerary has been carefully created to deliver a safe experience for all of our guests.

Hoedspruit and Kruger have some of the lowest crime rates in the country, and we are working with reliable partners and lodges to ensure you have a hassle-free stay.

Absolutely! Safaris are designed with safety as a top priority, ensuring that you can enjoy the thrill of wildlife watching without worry. Our experienced guides are well-trained professionals who adhere to strict safety protocols. They know the terrains and animal behaviours inside out, which allows them to provide you with a safe and enriching experience.

I always recommend visiting your physician to discuss your individual needs. However, the Fit to Travel website is an excellent resource for finding out what you might need to keep yourself healthy in South Africa.

This tour is perfect for those adventure seekers and solo explorers with a deep passion for wildlife and conservation. If you're keen to gain an immersive understanding of South Africa's stunning landscapes and vibrant ecosystems, this once-in-a-lifetime safari experience is crafted just for you. Explore the wild and contribute to vital conservation efforts while enjoying an unforgettable adventure in the heart of nature.

We like our tours to be intimate, and for that reason, there will be no more than 9 guests on this tour.

Yes! In fact, we would encourage you to stay longer and we can always help you plan your extension.

No! Our trips attract predominantly solo travellers, so you will be in good company!
We will allocate rooms based on what we believe will be the best fit; however, once the tour is underway, there are usually very obvious friendships that are formed. Swapping roomies mid trip is never a problem.
If you would like your own room then you can request a single supplement at the time of booking for an extra charge.

During this time of year, South Africa experiences winter, which means the weather is generally mild and dry—perfect for those days spent exploring the stunning landscapes and spotting wildlife.

Daytime temperatures typically range from 20°C to 25°C, offering comfortable conditions for safaris and outdoor activities. However, mornings and evenings can get quite chilly, with temperatures dropping to around 5°C, so be sure to pack some warm layers.

This delightful climate makes for a more enjoyable experience and increases the chances of spotting some incredible wildlife, as animals gather around water sources during the dry season.

Yes! All the properties we are staying at have WiFi. I would also recommend buying an eSIM so that you can be connected most of the time. There are areas of Kruger National Park where signal is limited, but overall, you will have data to share your adventure with friends and family.

I always use Airalo for my eSIMs wherever I travel.
